Is IELTS mandatory?

In most cases, yes. Some colleges have recently been accepting Duolingo.

Is PGWP valid for every program?

No. The program must be on the DLI list and must be a minimum of 8 months. Private schools are not all eligible. What is PGWP? A work permit for up to 3 years after completing public college and universities.

Is work experience needed for a Master's?

For an MBA, it is almost always necessary (minimum 1-2 years). For other master's programs, it's not a strict requirement.

How much money should be shown in the bank account?

Tuition fee + annual living expenses (approximately 20,000-25,000 CAD and above). The amount varies year by year.

Yes. 20 hours a week during studies, full-time during holidays.

What is the most common reason for refusal?

• Financial weakness • Unconvincing study plan • Weak demonstration of intention to return

Can the family go together?

Yes. The spouse can get an open work permit, and the child can go to school for free (varies by province).
